At the beginning of 1900 Messina Rosario started the activity with a olive oil mill in Santa Maria di Licodia, on the slopes of Mount Etna Volcano with his daughter Lina and Grazia.

In 1920, afterwards, other sons Sebastiano and Giuseppe opened a new olive oil mill at Santa Maria Ammalati on the other side of the Volcano.

Therefore begun the activity of the frantois of the Messina family.

In 1950, only Sebastiano stayed in the olive oil mill in Santa Maria Ammalati.

During 1955 his son Rosario began to work with his father and in 1969 he added a line of packaging.

In 1978 he moved with his family to Acireale and he opened a olive oil mill with continuous cycle and oil packaging that, over the years, it is always advanced.

In 1990, daughter Rosa, that when she was young, she tried the joy of to stay in olive oil mill, so after that she started to work full time with her father. Today Rosa creates a new line of products that combine the art of food with the art of our wonderful land known and appreciated all over the world.
